Well I have to say, I feel as if the ceramics I updated are all rejects. Be sure to check the scrapbook.

Things have been going slow in the ceramics lab. I've almost worked through the white stoneware I bought, but I have started working in the red stoneware, so that's exciting. I also bought some dark brown stoneware that looks almost black. There are four books sitting in my room about glazes and clay. I'm determined to learn how to mix my own glazes, but so much of it is about chemistry. Doh! I haven't taken a chemistry class in four years. I'm making art; I don't want to study science, dammit!

I've been contemplating putting the ceramics work on hiatus for a while and do some metalwork. We'll see.

In other news, I've finally got a job, seasonal call center work. Not bad, after three months unemployment. However, it puts a substantial lean on my art time. >_<

The pictures I took while on an outing with Jonah to a park in Eastlake, Ohio. The tree reminded me of scenes from that movie "The Ring".
