So at the beginning of the year I made 5 New Year's resolutions. The only one that's relevant here to DA is the following: "New Years Resolution #3: Complete all my artistic goals which include (but are not limited to): ceramics, metals, woodworking, and painting projects, as well as taking classes in glassworking and printmaking. Also meet more local artists!" I managed to finish up my ceramics projects. However, work has gotten in the way to some extent. But in a good way! Being sent to Colombia and India (where I am currently) has eaten up about 4 months of this year...hence not being able to work on art. But that's only 4 of the past 7

Ever feel like you're waiting for the other shoe to drop? I am. But enough of that. On to the artistic pursuits... I've picked up the new ceramics, and I've only 3 more to glaze that should be out of the kiln already. Last night I had a dream about using a particular clay that they sell at Funke Fired Arts that I haven't used before. I am debating it. I'm trying to get myself excited about doing my metalwork for the astrological pendants. I can't seem to motivate myself. Blah. My father spontaneously bought me an easel. The thing is huge. I guess he wants me to finish my painting of Mom. :sigh: I plan to go to the Taft Museum this weeken

I seem to be falling behind these days with my artistic endeavors. Not having the ability to go to my art facility in the last month and a half has stunted my artistic output. I've also had some energy problems with the change in my scheduling and I find myself with not much time in my day, nor the energy or drive to complete anything, let alone my artistic projects.
